The wide open spaces of 130 acres at Camp Wondervu provides
its visitors exciting adventures for all ages and generations.
Hiking through the woods, climbing and studying rock formations,
and seeking out the spectacular views of city and plains
to the East and the majestic Continental Divide to the
West, are all activities available right here on our grounds.
A
six acre mountain lake, stocked with rainbow trout,
provides a challenge to both novice and skilled anglers.
For those who prefer boating, conoes are readily available.
A
multitude of sports can be enjoyed with facilities featured
for softball, basketball, and hockey. Rock climbing,
tree racing, paintball, and an excellent high ropes
course are also avalaible for a small fee.
Winter
offers opportunities for ice-skating on the lake, while
the tubing hill brings a delightful (and fast) winter
pastime. In addition, excellent downhill and cross-country
skiing is available at Eldora Ski Resort, just 20 minutes
to the West.
The
Boathouse is a picturesque log cabin set right on the
edge of the lake. It can be used for meetings or sleeping
in the summer and its comfy wood stove makes it an ideal
warming house for winter activities.
